The department of Clinical and Anatomic Pathology are under the leadership of qualified pathologist, duly certified by the Philippine Society Pathologists, Inc. Every Laboratory Section is manned by highly qualified personnel with a registered government license for Medical Technology under the Professional Regulation Commission. Each section is managed by an In-charge. A specific number of staff medical technologists are assigned in every section to allow optimum laboratory operations. 1.3 All Section In-Charge are directly supervised by the laboratory supervisor. The supervisor reports to the Pathologists.
The Pathology Department is dedicated to fulfill the following objectives:
- To make available laboratory tests, (clinical & anatomic pathology examinations) necessary in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
- To ensure consultations or referrals regarding interpretation of laboratory results.
- To provide materials and setting for training of medical residents and interns.
