Nursing Service and College of Nursing Holds First Ever “Balik Turo” Forum

The Nursing Service, in partnership with the Capitol Medical Center College of Nursing (CMC-CON), held the 1st “Balik Turo” Seminar-Program at the Capitol Med auditorium on February 11, 2019 from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.  The event, themed “Leadership – Getting Started & Language of Caring,” was graced by two esteemed Nursing Directors from the USA, Mr. Gilbert Pagulayan, RN, CPAN, Nursing Director for Education & Training, Northgate General Hospital, California, and Mr. Daniel G. Coronel, MA, RN, NEA-BC, Nursing Director, Brookdale Hospital Medical Center, Brooklyn USA.

The program was attended by 135 participants from CMC-CON and Mount Grace Hospitals’ Nursing Service. It was designed to leverage on CMC’s Nursing Care Brand through training programs for their professional and educational growth and aimed to establish a strong network with Filipino nursing executives abroad to share their best practices and how these could be adopted to improve local processes.

The Balik Turo Training Program is a continuous learning initiative designed to equip CMC-CON and the Nursing Service with the required knowledge and competencies to perform their role with excellence. It also aims to inspire service commitment to enable them to have the proper perspective and work attitude in rendering quality service to its constituents. ▪
