Capitol Med Hearth Talk for Heart’s Month

Capitol Med celebrated the heart month with a lay forum event entitled, “Kamusta ang Puso at Presyon Mo? Mag-usap Tayo!” held at the CMC Auditorium on February 22, from 8am to 11 am. Organized by the Medical Services Division, the lay forum was attended by CMC employees,  representatives from Brgy. Paligsahan (CMC’s adopted community), and students from CMC’s College of Nursing.

(On the Photo) Mr. John Christian Agustin, RN of CMC Nursing division, opened the discussion on Prevention of Coronary Artery Disease

 

(On the Photo) Dr. Jennifer Cantre, discussed the Recognition of Coronary Artery Disease (early detection, warning signs and when to consult your doctor).

 

(On the Photo) Dr. Edward Nino Gacrama, discussed on the available Treatment and Management of Coronary Artery Disease (medical and surgical management).

 

Aside from a detailed discussion on the medical aspects of coronary artery diseases, the event also provided an overview of the financial requirement to successfully overcome the disease. Ms. Cynthia Lazaro, CMC’s Accounting Manager, discussed several options that patients could consider when planning for heart surgery procedures, including Capitol Med’s accreditation for PhilHealth’s Z Package for Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG) procedures.
